COVID Impacts and What to Expect

DCR and the GGCP are following the latest guidelines regarding COVID-19.

We will be safely planting trees this fall, under modified conditions. Please allow for longer turnaround times on returned calls and emails.

GGCP will work with you remotely to select trees and determine proper planting locations. Contact your local Urban Forester for more information and discuss what options work best for you.

For your preview, a variety of trees will be displayed on our website. Due to limitations caused by the pandemic, not all tree species will be available, and GGCP will work with you to find suitable substitutions. We plant with the principle of “Right Tree, Right Place” and local Urban Foresters will make the final determinations.

Tree plantings will be scheduled in advance. GGCP staff will wear proper personal protective equipment including face coverings and will maintain social distance while planting your tree. Residents are asked to do the same, and to keep pets in the house during tree planting activities.
